Dramatic news footage of new construction being threatened by grass fires fills the airwaves. What is your risk? The risk of fire from construction activity and children playing in developing neighborhoods is present every day. Fire can destroy what you are building and what you have built.

The simple act of cutting grass and weeds can reduce your fire risk. It can also cut your risk of receiving a citation. It is a violation of the fire code and the city nuisance ordinance to allow vegetation to become a fire hazard. Weeds and grass must be kept less than 12” in height.
