Bail Schedule for Bailable Offenses Only
If you have been charged with any of the following offenses, you may take care of your citation by just paying the bail amount associated with the offense. If the charge is not listed, then you must call the court at (801) 256-2290 for an appointment to be arraigned by Judge Kunz. If you are charged with one of the charges listed below and want to explain your case informally, call the court for an appointment and a hearing will be set.
As of May 12, 2009, the State Legislature imposed a $40.00 surcharge on most offenses. The bail listed below includes this surcharge.

- Failure to stop for school bus $140.00
- Failure to stop for flashing lights $115.00
- Following too close $90.00
- Failure to maintain control $90.00

- Failure to obey traffic control device $90.00
- Failure to stop for stop sign $90.00
- Careless driving $310.00
**For all accidents add $30.00 to the original bail
Negligent collision $120.00 (already includes $30.00 accident fee)
Driver's License Violations - Expired driver's license $40.00 suspend $10.00 with proof of valid license
- No valid license in possession $40.00 dismiss upon proof of valid license
- Denied license $50.00
- Registration and other legal requirements: Improper registration $100.00
- No or expired registration $40.00
- Failure to display plates $40.00
- Faulty Equipment (vehicle unsafe) $40.00
Animal Control Violations - Dog license required $100.00. If proof shows that the animal is now licensed, bail to be reduced to $50.00
- No current rabies vaccination $100.00. If proof shows that the animal has now been vaccinated, bail to be reduced to $50.00
- Dog at large $75.00
Parking Violations - All parking violations with the exception of handicapped parking and commercial vehicle parking in residential $40.00
- Handicapped parking $125.00
- Commercial vehicle parked in residential $50.00
Misdemeanors that are bailable - Open container in vehicle $100.00
- Disorderly Conduct - infraction - $140.00
Seatbelt violations - Failure to wear seat belts $45.00
- Failure to use a child restraint $45.00
